The Fox Digit full finger gloves are categorized by Fox as DH/Freeride gloves.
Weight – 73 gr, 48% Synthetic Leather (palm face), 25% Polychloroprene (palm back, knuckle area, wrist area), 15% Nylon (fabric mash, palm back), 12% PVC Rubber (palm face).
Palm back side:
* The part closer to the wrist and the parts covering the fingers are made out of two kinds of meshed nylon fabric. This is very good for ventilation. Some rubber arches cover the finger area, part for decoration & part for protection – I am not sure which has the upper hand here.
* The area covering the knuckles is made out of Neoprene material for protection.
* Tightening the glove to your wrist is done with a rubber-Velcro strap. This area is made out of Neoprene to make it elastic so it tightens around your wrist.
* The area covering the thumb is also made of meshed nylon and enforced by synthetic leather. This is the area where a lot of pressure is rubbing against the glove.
Palm face side (all covered in synthetic leather):
* The part closest to your wrist on the Pinky side, has some extra layer of synthetic leather for reinforcement, because much pressure is applied here while riding. I am surprised no cushioning was used here.
* The main palm area has some rubber stripes on it to prevent slipping.
* The knuckles area is reinforced with an extra layer of synthetic leather. This is actually the other side of the knuckles area – on the face of your palm.
* The Index and Middle fingers are covered with a layer of synthetic rubber for better grip while changing gears or using the breaks.
* Some ventilation holes on the face of the glove.
